Have Questions?

These are a few of the common questions we get asked.

As many as possible. Everyday. People have this idea that “working out” has to be going to the gym. What I want to encourage is moving your body every day for at least 30 minutes. Or, this can also be throughout your day by tracking things like steps. I’ve watched clients do 2000 steps just in a grocery store. Ideally we see each client hit 6000 steps per day. This approach paired with gym days throughout the week will yield an overall healthier lifestyle.

Immediately after a work out it is important to replenish your body with broken down protein (ie powdered), nutrients and of course hydrate. For most of my clients I recommend a protein shake after a strength building work out, but this may not be appropriate for someone who is focusing on aerobic. Please be sure that your post work out intake is appropriate for your overall goal.

A more appropriate question is “how far in advance before a work out should I eat”. I recommended 1.5-2 hours prior to a work out be when you intake food.

The simplest answer to this is; no. If you’re putting yourself in a monitored and advised calorie deficit, you will lose fat while simultaneously building  muscle. Along with building lean muscle tissue, we need to ensure we are structurally balanced. For example, this means that your back is as strong as your chest, your quads are as strong as your hamstrings. The ratios may vary depending on your day-to-day. The point is, cardio alone cannot provide this crucial benefit. Weight lifting programs are the best for optimizing structural balance.

It varies from person to person and completely depends on your dedication on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. If you’re looking for results, you’re looking short term. Our society is so focused on “quick fixes” and that is not the best way to build healthy habits. Give yourself time to build new healthy habits and new areas of focus. This will take time, be patient and stay focused.

The site is formulated to ask the appropriate questions based on your goals and lifestyle. Your answers to these questions will help to pair you with the most beneficial program we offer. We are constantly available to answer questions and assist you through your paired program so you can optimize it’s benefits and results.

This will depend on your dedication to the Strong Life community. Different programs and packages allow different levels of access. However, every client has access to our Q&A portal of which is consistently monitored and replied to.
